Blog Tour: Underwater by Marisa Reichardt {Guest Post+Giveaway}

Underwater
by Marisa Reichardt
Publisher: Farrar, Straus, & Giroux
Release Date: January 12th 2016
Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance, Psychology, Realistic Fiction, Mental Illness

Synopsis:

Morgan didn’t mean to do anything wrong that day. Actually, she meant to do something right. But her kind act inadvertently played a role in a deadly tragedy. In order to move on, Morgan must learn to forgive—first someone who did something that might be unforgivable, and then, herself.

But Morgan can’t move on. She can’t even move beyond the front door of the apartment she shares with her mother and little brother. Morgan feels like she’s underwater, unable to surface. Unable to see her friends. Unable to go to school.

When it seems Morgan can’t hold her breath any longer, a new boy moves in next door. Evan reminds her of the salty ocean air and the rush she used to get from swimming. He might be just what she needs to help her reconnect with the world outside.

Underwater is a powerful, hopeful debut novel about redemption, recovery, and finding the strength it takes to face your past and move on.

In Which It May Be Time To Bid Farewell...

Happy Holidays fellow readers and bloggers!

It's been 5-6 years since I've been in the bookish community and about 4-5 years I've been in the blogging community. I started this because of my passion for books and wanting to share them with the world and connect with others who loved books just as much as I do and I'm ending this because I want to renew this passion. I still love books but I've been in a slump like never before, haven't been interested in blogging as much, and haven't communicated much with the rest of the community. With college applications, school, and other factors, I think it is the best decision for me to stop blogging for a while. I'm not sure when or if I'll start blogging again but when I do I want to do it with the same passion I had a few years ago. I'll continue to support authors as much as I can and will stay in contact with the community as much as possible. I planned 2016 to be an epic blogging year and I don't think I can so I would rather take a step back and reevaluate before diving back into blogging. And with all the drama that's been going on, it seems like a good idea. I know I'm going to miss it and blogging has been such a big influence and game changer in my place that I'll never forget everyone who's supported me and all the experiences I got from it. This was a hard decision for me to make but it was the right thing I needed to do. I won't be closing the blog down and it'll always be here but I just wanted to say a formal goodbye at least for now...

**I will be having a few posts here and there that have already been scheduled.

Thank you all for your support, appreciation, and understanding <3

Wishing you all a Happy New Year and Happy Holidays,
