Goodreads Summary:
Despite what her name might suggest, Heart has zero interest in complicated romance. So when her brilliant plan to go to prom with a group of friends is disrupted by two surprise invites, Heart knows there's only one drama-free solution: flip a coin.

Heads: The jock. He might spend all night staring at his ex or throw up in the limo, but how bad can her brother's best friend really be?

Tails: The theater geek...with a secret. What could be better than a guy who shares all Heart's interests--even if he wants to share all his feelings?

Heart's simple coin flip has somehow given her the chance to live out both dates. But where her prom night ends up might be the most surprising thing of all...

Ask Again Later by Liz Czukas is hilarious, cute, and just plain awesome! I love the premise of this story. The characters were realistic. The plot of the book was amazing. It was a super light, humorous books that is a great read for when in need for some happiness, a day at the beach, or curled up on the couch or bed with hot cocoa. I didn't expect for me to enjoy this book as much as I did but I'm glad I had the chance to read this book. My favorite aspect of this story was the theme of fate and how 2 different paths could entwine together and lead to your fate. It was written in a "Pivot Point" sort of way and was a bit confusing for me because I didn't realize that till a few chapters in.

Heart is the funniest YA contemp heroine I've read/met. Never have I laughed as much and live tweeted about a book than this one. We see an in depth view of her thoughts and she's cool. Laid backed and chill, she's the kind of girl I would love to be friends with and hang out with. Her indecisiveness reminds me of...well me. The thing about Heart is that she's dense especially when it comes to a certain guy and the feelings she starts to develop. Her group of friends are pretty awesome too. They don't come with so much drama and are loyal and supportive unlike others in normal contemp books who end up throwing a fit for something so unnecessary or have an estranged relationship. It's refreshing and nice.

Now for the guys...Troy: HE IS A MEAT HEAD and IS SO ANNOYING! That's all I have to say about him really. Reading his chapters were irritating, funny at times but not mostly. Same goes for her brother who is a douche, an ungrateful jerk. Ryan: I loved Ryan so much. He was wonderful and I would want someone like him or at least someone who has the same personality as him to be my boyfriend/date to prom/best friend or all 3. His attitude and tone matched Heart and they had a good connection with one another. Schroeder: He calls Heart every other organ that's not a name and I don't even know how he knows all of them. He's so cute and I've shipped him and Heart ever since I met him even though I was iffy if he had a chance with her or not. His jealousy was so noticeable and his reactions were too adorable and the way he's able to get along with Heart made my inner fangirl explode.

If you want to know about some do's and don'ts about Prom, reading Ask Again Later may give an insight on that. All probabilities, chance, fate are all intertwined in this funny, easy going novel. Falling in love with the plot, events, and characters were easy to do as I read this story. Full of laughs, Ask Again Later is for all you contemporary readers and anyone really looking for a hilarious or light read. I will most definitely be on the lookout for any more of Liz Czukas' books! Happy Readings!
