The Thing About Books: Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

So we haven't done this feature in a while now and just to recap to those who are new to the blog:

The Thing About Books is a feature in which Caitlyn and I talk about (usually fangirl) over books we love and need to talk about them. But this also means there will always be spoilers.

**Please only continue reading this post if you've already read the book for this post**

The Thing About Books: Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

Ooook so this is the first time we're doing a book discussion for a book one of us has already reviewed and of course it would be HEIR OF FIRE by Sarah J Maas. So if you haven't read the series or HoF yet GO READ IT. NOW. And if you have, join us as we vent about some stuff from the book. Also since we were short on time, we didn't talk as much as we would have liked to so we mainly kind of focused on the characters than anything else.

Goodreads Summary:

An assassin’s loyalties are always in doubt.

But her heart never wavers.

After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown – a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.

Keeping up the deadly charade—while pretending to do the king's bidding—will test her in frightening new ways, especially when she's given a task that could jeopardize everything she's come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon -- forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice.

Where do the assassin’s loyalties lie, and who is she most willing to fight for?

I for one absolutely adored Throne of Glass and can't wait to see what happens with Celaena in this book!
