Goodreads Summary:
Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. She is less than thrilled about boarding school in Paris - until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, he has it all - including a serious girlfriend. Will Anna get her French kiss?

I'm honestly not sure why but ever since I heard of this book I stayed away from it. I think I mixed up the synopsis of this book with another book's synopsis that made it seem like a book I wouldn't enjoy. It wasn't until my sister praised this book that I finally read it and absolutely LOVED it. Cute and hilarious, Anna and the French Kiss definitely made me want my own Etienne St. Clair. I've lived vicariously through Anna many times rereading this book and it's one I'll never forget.

Anna is a movie nerd and dreams to be a critique and moving to Paris is definitely a huge shock. Pretty ordinary with a famous author as a father, Paris is a huge cultural shock to her and I love Anna. She's a great friend and it's funny seeing her adjust to the new life and new friends. This book is more focused on relationships: family, friends, and lovers. I loved seeing how Anna deals with other problems in her life not just Etienne.

Etienne St. Clair. My heart. <3 I CANT. I love that he's short and proud of it. I love the amazing chemistry St. Clair and Anna have. They connected and clicked so easily. There was no forced attraction, insta-love, or even super passionate love. They were real; they had their awkward moments, they were loyal, had each other's backs, and most certainly had their arguments and fall outs. It was funny knowing and seeing Etienne giving signals yet Anna not seeing them or iffy about them and vice versa. I love how they were able to connect over their horrible fathers and how they advised each other and helped one another deal with it.

A book about misunderstandings and just adorableness to cute to describe, Anna and the French Kiss is a MUST read for contemporary lovers or any YA fan honestly. I can't say much without telling you the entire story but trust me and read it. It's worth it. Happy Readings!
