Goodreads Summary:

Samantha is a stranger in her own life. Until the night she disappeared with her best friend, Cassie, everyone said Sam had it all-popularity, wealth, and a dream boyfriend.

Sam has resurfaced, but she has no recollection of who she was or what happened to her that night. As she tries to piece together her life from before, she realizes it's one she no longer wants any part of. The old Sam took "mean girl" to a whole new level, and it's clear she and Cassie were more like best enemies. Sam is pretty sure that losing her memories is like winning the lottery. She's getting a second chance at being a better daughter, sister, and friend, and she's falling hard for Carson Ortiz, a boy who has always looked out for her-even if the old Sam treated him like trash.

But Cassie is still missing, and the facts about what happened to her that night isn't just buried deep inside of Sam's memory-someone else knows, someone who wants to make sure Sam stays quiet. All Sam wants is the truth, and if she can unlock her clouded memories of that fateful night, she can finally move on. But what if not remembering is the only thing keeping Sam alive?

So I love JLA, a lot. It is basically a given that if she writes a book I will enjoy it. When I saw the synopsis for this one, I have to admit, I was skeptical but it was really good!!!! Don't Look Back is a really great mystery which honestly had me second guessing myself at every turn and I had basically no clue what the outcome was going to be. Which was awesome because a lot of times with these types of books its kinda obvious what is going to happen/what the big reveal is. This story is brilliant and captivating and if you like mysteries at all then you should definitely read this book

I really love how much of a fresh start this book is, because in a way Sam starts out just the same as every reader of a book does. You have a name and some key facts but have to fill in the pieces of the personality yourself and it was cool that the main character started in that place as well. A lot of the reason I was skeptical was because I thought Sam would get all gross and bitchy again but she doesn't. Sam is a really sweet funny girl and its great to see how she deals with all her friends and family to recreate the relationships which where good for her and sever or fix some of her old ones. OH there's also the whole ordeal of everyone trying to figure out if she's insane or not. Thats fun. Sam is just really relatable and easy to love.

I don't remember a lot about Carson....SORRY!!!! I just know that at first he's a little cold towards her but stick with him! He's a good guy who is always looking out for Sam even when she was a total pooplord!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!! I really love Sam's brother!! He is so funny and great and really cares about Sam and it's awesome! He's definitely one of my favorite characters!!!!

Overall Don't Look Back is really great and awesome and you should read it. Its totally worth it even if the cover is weird (its also kinda cool but still weird). Mysterious and intriguing its a really riveting plot line and a cool concept to see a girl discover who she was and not try to stay that way but to change herself to be the better person she knew she could be. I hope you pick up this book!! Byeeeee!
