Top 10 Goals/Resolutions of 2015

Hey guys! So we've decided to finally finally start doing Top Ten Tuesday whenever our Tuesdays are free :) Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely ladies at The Broke and the Bookish! Each week, a new topic is put into place and bloggers share their top ten.

**Lists aren't in any specific order**

Taherah's Goals/Resolutions:
1. Balance my blog and school life (esp. w/senior year/college apps this fall :o)
2. Read 100 books (hopefully more)
3. Review at least 95% of books that I do end up reading
4. Be more interactive with authors on Twitter and on the blog
5. Maintain/Get all A's
6. Stop procrastinating
7. Get more followers on the blog

Caitlyn's Goals/Resolutions:
1. Read more
2. Review more books
3. Actually study
4. Eat less

And this is how you know that we pretty much suck at making resolutions...
But we tried. So not ready for 2015 but also excited for all the books that are releasing this year :)

What are your goals/resolutions (blogging/reading/school wise)?

Event Recap: Suspicion by Alexandra Monir Launch Party

Caitlyn and I had the honor of going to Alexandra Monir's launch party for her newest release, Suspicion (which is pretty good! My review will be up in the beginning of next month!) So we both bought copies of the book and headed upstairs to the event room which was filled up pretty nicely with people. There was also an amazing spread of food which ranged from cold cut sandwiches to brownies. It was great. I wish I got a picture but there was a lot of people and I felt awkward :o

(Didn't realize this when I took this pic but Romina Russell, author of Zodiac, is the one in the pink/blue flannel XD)

We Think We're Funny

As of last week, Caitlyn and another one of our friends, Olivia, started a vlogging channel of sorts where they talk about all the things they love ranging from books to tv shows (*coughs* Supernatural will be one of them *coughs*) It would be great if you guys check out this intro videos of theirs and subscribe to their channel We Think We're Funny

Both Olivia and Caitlyn are pure fangirls and ranters. Snarky and witty, they usually have a lot to say especially when it comes to things they love and hate. So check them out and subscribe if you want to check out more of their upcoming videos. And if they have anything book related, I'll probably post them on here too :) Happy Friday!

368 Pages
Release Date: December 9th, 2014
Publisher: Harper Teen
Genre: Contemporary
Source: Publisher via EW

Goodreads Summary:
Amber Vaughn is a good girl. She sings solos at church, babysits her nephew after school, and spends every Friday night hanging out at her best friend Devon’s house. It’s only when Amber goes exploring in the woods near her home, singing camp songs with the hikers she meets on the Appalachian Trail, that she feels free—and when the bigger world feels just a little bit more in reach.

When Amber learns about an audition at the North Carolina School of the Arts, she decides that her dream—to sing on bigger stages—could also be her ticket to a new life. Devon’s older (and unavailable) brother, Will, helps Amber prepare for her one chance to try out for the hypercompetitive arts school. But the more time Will and Amber spend together, the more complicated their relationship becomes . . . and Amber starts to wonder if she’s such a good girl, after all.

Then, in an afternoon, the bottom drops out of her family’s world—and Amber is faced with an impossible choice between her promise as an artist and the people she loves. Amber always thought she knew what a good girl would do. But between “right” and “wrong,” there’s a whole world of possibilities.

But when Marguerite’s father is murdered, the killer—her parent’s handsome and enigmatic assistant Paul—escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him.

Marguerite can’t let the man who destroyed her family go free, and she races after Paul through different universes, where their lives entangle in increasingly familiar ways. With each encounter she begins to question Paul’s guilt—and her own heart. Soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is more sinister than she ever could have imagined.
