2014 End Of Year Book Survey
This is the first time we're participating in Broke and the Bookish's
End of the Year Survey and I'm so excited to share our responses!

Note: The survey is for books you read throughout the year, no matter when they were published, and is not limited to just books that came out in 2014!!

    We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. There was so much hype for this book and it just fell flat for me :/

     Sara Raasch (author of Snow Like Ashes)
     Heather Demetrios (author of Exquisite Captive & I’ll Meet You There)

7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?
    Faking Normal by Courtney Stevens
    I’m not big on books like these because they usually end up backfiring but Courtney Stevens did         an amazing job with this story!

 8. Most action-packed/thrilling/unputdownable book of the year?
     The Queen of Zombie Hearts by Gena Showalter

 9. Book You Read In 2014 That You Are Most Likely To Re-Read Next Year?
      A lot. But most probably Ignite Me and A Court of Thorns & Roses.

10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2014?
      Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch

11. Most memorable character of 2014?
      Kat (Mad Dog) from The Queen of Zombie Hearts

 12. Most beautifully written book read in 2014?
       Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi

      Faking Normal by Courtney Stevens

14. Book you can’t believe you waited UNTIL 2015 to finally read?
     TOO MANY. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir, The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows, The        Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh, and Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo are just some.

     (Because of a plot twist, character death, left you hanging with your mouth wide open, etc.)
      Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

    I don't think I found any this year...

    I don't really have one...but maybe Heir of Fire?

   Discussion Post: Crossover Edition
   (We put different characters from different genres into the world of Everblaze and predicted what        they would do.)

4. Best event that you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)?
    LA Times Festival of Books

5. Best moment of bookish/blogging life in 2014?
    Getting an ARC of A Court of Thorns and Roses and having an author say that they’ve seen/read       our blog before even though we’ve never really talked to them before. But also being asked to host     a giveaway for In the After Light. 

7. Most Popular Post This Year On Your Blog (whether it be by comments or views)?
